PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Electric Operations: Analyze key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of the regional operations. Plan and coordinate business specific initiatives to assure the highest levels of customer service and to achieve safety, reliability and productivity goals. Ensure departmental schedules, budgets, business goals and strategic initiatives are aligned and executed in support of overall Exelon Utility goals. Coordinate the departmental scorecards, key performance indicators and corrective actions, business continuity plan and escalated customer complaint resolution. Coordinate the weekly resource loading including vacations and training with Work Management for development of levelized schedules. Maintain on-going communications with various regional groups in areas such as decision analysis, technical needs, planning and execution of special projects. Gas: Provide daily oversight for work process clerks. Own relationship with state DOT and Municipalities over permit and restoration issues, including Contractor work. Lead process improvement efforts. Fill in for Manager if not available or on vacation. Provide oversight to resolve issue between Contract Coordinators, work management and materials management. Handle customer complaint issues for Manager. Analyze key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of regional operations. Ensure regional schedules, budgets, business goals and strategic initiatives are aligned and executed in support of overall Exelon Utilities goals. Coordinate the regional scorecards, key performance indicators and corrective actions, business continuity plan and escalated customer complaint resolution. Maintain on-going communications with various regional groups in areas such as decision analysis, technical needs, planning and execution of special projects. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Electric Operations: Coordinate implementation and execution of regional business plan initiatives. 
  • Electric Operations: Plan, coordinate, and direct Clerical employees to assure the highest levels of customer service and to achieve safety, reliability and productivity goals 
  • Electric Operations: Develop regional work down plans for emergent and scheduled work backlogs. 
  • Electric Operations: Act as the region point of contact for resolution of escalated complaints, including coordination for both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Electric Operations: Coordinate regional key performance indicator analysis (Operational and Financial), forecast, and identify corrective actions. 
  • Electric Operations: Coordinate emergency response to restore continuity of service to customers, requiring 24-hour on-call responsibilities and varied work schedules, as required by business needs. 
  • Electric Operations: Coordinate the regional weekly resource loading including vacations and training with Work Management for development of levelized schedules.
  • Electric Operations: Plan, coordinate, and direct Clerical employees to assure the highest levels of customer service and to achieve safety, reliability and productivity goals 
  • Gas: Coordinate implementation and execution of regional business plan initiatives.

  • Gas: Coordinate regional key performance indicator analysis (and identify corrective actions).

  • Gas: Fill in for Manager 
  • Gas: Lead process improvement efforts, coordinate the business continuity plans for the region, and act as the region point of contact for resolution of escalated complaints, including coordination for both internal and external stakeholders. 


JOB SCOPE

  • Total Number of Direct Reports: 0 Management Total Number of Reports: 0 Management 0 - 20 Bargaining Unit
  • Financial Scope (Budget, Expenditures, Funding, Revenue, etc.) Assist in review and development of corrective actions for a Construction and Maintenance budget of $25 - $50 Million.
  • Support operations in emergency response to restore continuity of service to customers by serving in various Storm Restoration Plan roles requiring 24-hour on-call responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Clerical employees, assessment and development of corrective actions to improve productivity, resource utilization, labor strategy, adherence to standards and work practices, and regional performance indicator performance. Monitors and performs gap analysis on the implementation and execution of maintenance and reliability programs. Coordinate the execution of the business plan initiatives and resolution of escalated customer complaints. Support operations in the management of the operating budget.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4-7 years of experience in various engineering, construction or operating assignments, OR 6-9 years of industry experience without a degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven leadership ability in a high performance results driven culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including new technology.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, customer awareness and ability to create value.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Financial and budgeting experience.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results for performance improvement in safety, productivity, customer relations and reliability consistent with the annual Utility/Department/Region scorecard metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiations and providing strategic input on labor relation strategies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to harness the strengths of individual differences for the common good of the corporation and its employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries, help identify solutions and serve as a SOPC to coordinate initiatives.
